(Headquarters: Fujimino City, Saitama Prefecture, President: Gen Nakamura, KDDI R & D Laboratories) is a regional DX (digital transformer) based on research utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as AI / IoT. On November 5, 2020, we concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement (hereinafter referred to as this agreement) aiming to create innovative human resources who will lead the region through promotion of formation) and distance learning utilizing 11G.
The three parties will solve the problem of labor shortage in the agriculture and fisheries industry by utilizing the academic research conducted by Toba National College of Maritime Technology in Mie Prefecture and the advanced technologies such as AI and IoT devices possessed by KDDI and KDDI Research, Inc. In addition, we aim to develop human resources for promoting DX in the entire region by interacting with other regions through the newly constructed 5G network environment.

・ Through research based on communication technology, such as observation data acquisition, AI image recognition, and utilization of sensing technology, we will promote DX for human work and solve problems such as increased workload due to labor shortage.
-Improve fishing efficiency by introducing smart buoys that can predict catches.
