In September 1875, Makoto Kondo, the founder of National Institute of Technology, Toba National College of Technology, moved to Shiba Shinsenza 14 (now Hamamatsu-cho, Minato-ku, Tokyo) to practice navigational surveying. It was established as a branch school (later called Shosenko) on August 1881, 20 (Meiji 42) as Toba Shosenko in Toba-machi, Mie Prefecture.After that, through changes such as private school, municipal school, and prefectural school, it became National Toba National College of Technology in June 1967 (Showa XNUMX).
