Overview

Educational goals for each department
Department of Merchant Shipping Foster human resources who have acquired specialized knowledge and skills who can play an active role as ship operation engineers who have adapted to the internationalization of logistics and technological innovation of ships, and human resources who can play an active role in maritime-related industries.
Department of Information Mechanical Systems Engineering The Department of Information and Mechanical Systems Engineering is based on information engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and mechanical engineering, and by selecting a curriculum that suits the individuality of each student, it has expertise as a practical engineer who contributes to the region and supports Japanese industry.・ The goal is to acquire skills.
Advanced course Practical that teaches highly specialized academics on the basis of education in colleges of technology, expands the range of specialized fields, and demonstrates research / technology development ability and creative ability with an international sense and a broad perspective. Train professional engineers.

 Department of Merchant Shipping

The Department of Commercial Ships is a department that aims to develop Japanese modernized and automated ship operation engineers and human resources who can respond to various maritime-related land industries. After two years of basic study, the third year will be divided into a voyage course and an institutional course.

Upon graduation, you will be exempted from the written examination of a third-class mariner required for ocean-going vessels, and if you pass the oral examination, you will be able to obtain a national qualification.

Department of Information Mechanical Systems Engineering

The Department of Information Mechanical Systems Engineering focuses on information engineering and is in electrical and electronic engineering. You will learn specialized knowledge and techniques in three fields including mechanical engineering.

In the lower grades, in addition to programming, engineering basics and specialized common bases in three fieldsLearn the board. In the upper grades, "specialty" and "intentionality" are decided according to one's individuality. We provide a custom-made curriculum to determine.

Belonging to the PBL (Project Based Learning) team that solves regional issues from the first year, not only learning on the desk, but also understanding local industry and culture and engineering solutionsWe will provide education to develop practical engineers who can propose laws.

 Advanced course

The advanced courses of colleges of technology are set up to teach more advanced specialized education on top of the five to five and a half years of education. At our school, there are two majors, "Marine Systems Major" based on the Department of Commercial Ships and "Production Systems Engineering Major" based on the Department of Electromechanical Engineering and the Department of Control and Information Engineering.

Students who have completed the advanced course are recognized as equivalent to graduating from a four-year university, and can obtain a bachelor's degree. After graduation, you can not only get a job at a company but also go on to a graduate school master's course, and after that, you will be able to go on to a doctoral course.
