Our students and faculty toured a mock-up (full-scale model) of the Toba Maruyo ship.

　On Monday, February 5, 2020, students and faculty from the Department of Merchant Marine visited a mock-up of the Toba Maruyo ship currently under construction at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Maritime Systems Co., Ltd. (Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture). I did. After a representative from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Maritime Systems, Ltd. explained the disaster support functions and automatic navigation system that will be implemented on the Toba Maruyoshi Ship, the Toba Maruyoshi Ship's information integrated bridge (cockpit-type console) and engine were introduced. We toured the mock-up of the control room. The students were fascinated by the Toba Marutyoshi, which was equipped with cutting-edge technology.
