Technical College Robocon 2022 Tokai Hokuriku District Competition Design Award & Special Award Winner!

On October 3rd (Sun), the XNUMXth Idea Showdown/National College of Technology Robot Contest XNUMX Tokai-Hokuriku Regional Competition was held face-to-face for the first time in three years in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture.
The challenge for this year's competition is "Miracle ★ Fly - Soar up to the sky!".
During the 2 minutes and 30 seconds competition, robots fly "paper planes" and land on tables and runways (long tables) of different heights and areas to compete for points.
Two teams from our school participated.

Team A "Challenge Ballistics" (Supervisor: Associate Professor Wakisaka, Department of Information Machinery and Systems Engineering)
We created a robot that combines a loading mechanism using a trapezoidal screw, an injection mechanism that uses a variable speed roller to fly a paper airplane vigorously, and a mechanism that uses a proprietary loading mechanism and a Chebyshev link mechanism to fly a paper airplane gently.Although they won the first match by decision against Toyama Kosen Imizu Campus, they lost to Suzuka Kosen, the champion of this tournament, in the second match.

Team B "Poppaman V" (supervisor: Professor Miyazaki, Department of Information Machinery and Systems Engineering)
A pantograph lift-up mechanism using an air cylinder and a stone-throwing mechanism are combined to make a paper airplane fly as if a person is throwing it by swinging his/her arm. I created a robot that combines mechanisms.
Received a design award and a special award (Cemedine Co., Ltd.).Unfortunately, I missed out on participating in the national competition.

[Reason for Award: Design Award]
Packed with a variety of injection mechanisms such as stone throwing, belt conveyors, and rubber, it not only made the audience excited to see what they would come up with next, but also created an environment-friendly machine that uses a lot of wood.
[Reason for Award: Special Award (Cemedine Co., Ltd.)]
A beautiful form that looks like a human throwing, a robot that truly utilizes the power of tradition.
