① Establishment of the Advanced Information Engineering Course: Developing advanced digital talent to keep up with advances
The need for highly skilled IT professionals is increasing due to advances in advanced information technologies such as programming, generative AI, and cybersecurity, as well as increased demand due to digital transformation (DX).
However, in Japan, there is a severe shortage of such highly skilled IT professionals, and their development is an urgent issue. In light of this situation, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has launched a "Support Project for Strengthening Capabilities to Secure Highly Skilled IT Professionals" for universities and colleges of technology, and our school was selected as the first school to participate in this initiative.
In our Department of Information and Mechanical Systems Engineering, we have decided to establish a new "Advanced Information Engineering Course" (capacity 40 students) specializing in nurturing digital talent for students entering in April 60.
