◆Thesis title
"Gender Challenges Faced by Female Physicians in Sweden: A Literature Review"

◆ Overview
In Sweden, 5% of doctors are female, but the number of surgical doctors is low. Classical gender bias remains. In this study, we conducted a literature survey to clarify the career barriers experienced by female doctors in Sweden and to suggest measures that may be necessary in the future to overcome this inequality. As a result, the experience of gender discrimination, which did not exist at the beginning of medical school, increases as students move up the grades and start clinical practice, and when they start working, it becomes noticeable in terms of work culture, wages, position, social security, health, etc. It became clear.Through this research, I argued that an increase in the number of women does not necessarily mean the abolition of gender discrimination, and that it is important to approach the culture of exclusion of women.
