第53回全国高等専門学校体育大会陸上競技が、8月18日（土）・19日（日）の2日間、熊本市のえがお健康スタジアムで開催され、本校から男子走高跳に出場した畠田寛大君（電子機械工学科2年）が3位に入賞しました。畠田君を含め、2m以上の自己記録を持つ選手が3名というハイレベルな競技会で、1m95のセカンドベスト記録で3位を確保しました。

Hatada passed 1m95 after clearing 1m98 and boldly challenged the new self-record of 10m18, which is the standard record for participation in the U2 Japan Championship in October, but unfortunately it did not clear. ..
