 At the 28th National College of Technology Deep Learning Contest (DCON29) held on April 2023th (Friday) and XNUMXth (Saturday), ezaki-lab, which participated from our school, won the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award and corporate evaluation. Shiraishi-Lab won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award and was evaluated with a corporate valuation of XNUMX million.
 DCON2023 is a contest in which technical college students create works that utilize the "manufacturing technology" and "deep learning" that they have cultivated on a daily basis, and compete for the "business feasibility" created by the work based on the company's valuation.
 The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, which was awarded to the team that participated from our school this time, is awarded to the team with high expectations for the future, such as the growth prospects of the team and works (products and services), and the degree of impact on the entire industry by solving problems. , The Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Prize is awarded to the most technically excellent team.

 "Ripura" is a service that creates a society in which plastics circulate.There are three ways to dispose of plastics: material recycling, which reuses them as raw materials, chemical recycling, which converts them into energy, and thermal recovery, which burns and disposes of them.
 Currently, the proportion of thermal recovery is large, and environmental pollution and depletion of plastic resources are progressing.
 In order to solve these problems, it is necessary to promote material recycling, and it is necessary to wash and separate plastics.
 This service uses a plastic material discriminator that utilizes deep learning to promote material recycling by allowing the general public to sort and clean garbage.This will create a society in which plastics circulate.

 The biggest feature of "Seka Senka?" AI pesticides can recognize fruit trees and automatically apply pinpoint pesticides, freeing agricultural workers, many of whom are elderly, from heavy labor and exposure to pesticides.In addition, the AI ​​pre-sorting machine automatically ranks citrus fruits based on their appearance, and can also take pest control measures at the same time.This dramatically improves the efficiency of sorting, which has traditionally been done manually and takes time.
